And the fuselage with the cabane section looks gorgeous, too.

Oh Lance, what a great project! You try again to invite me to the WNW with such great details .... and then ... I'm gasping!

But the theory was confirmed again:
Accidents in model building can't be avoided, it happens for sure.
The difference between a beginner and a master modeler is the handling after that - you are a true Master!

This will be a fantastic LVG!

Great save there Lance. As Frank says - the difference is holding your breathe and figuring out how to fix. A master modelling outcome and your LVG is back on track.

One way I now try avoid such incidents is to buy a ream of A4 paper from the Supermarket and place a sheet under every modelling action - paint, glue, decal - then screw up the sheet and throw away after the action. A kind of soft tip but it seems to work even if it is a waste of paper! But it gets rid of random glue or paint that finds its way to where you don't want it.

    Thank you for commenting and for the inspiration; I'll have to look into some version of your recommended fix, I do have a roll of light weight painters masking paper I may try .......... In the interim I've got the main struts and upper wing installed, really starting to move forward now!

Another update with the main structure assembly more or less complete. First the lower wings were drilled, eyelets installed, and rigging wires all attached. I added 36 Gage Nickel Chromium wire eyelets to 4 GasPatch Type C Turnbuckles for the lower wing root attachment points.



     The wings were installed using 5 Minute Epoxy, propped up, and left to set over night.





    The lower strut connections were added using the same glue to allow a bit of "wiggle" time and the upper wing dry fitted to align the struts. Once dry the second upper wing followed.







    ........ and finally she's a biplane!





    Next comes the rigging and once that's completed I'll add the landing gear.

    Thanks for looking and commenting.
    Rigging is now underway with the victim mounted in the Magic Third Hand device.





    The first step is the main strut cross braces which are being done with Modelkasten elastic thread. The main structural rigging will follow using mono fishing line (Maxima Chameleon 0.12mm) attached to the lower wing fittings earlier.



     The dreaded rigging stage which I actually enjoy......... as long as it goes well!
