Oh dear Rick, you do seem to have a run of bad luck with your models, now it is hitting you on a SPAD. I do hope that you can find a solution to the strut and holes in fuselage problem as the RFC model is a gem in the making.

As for the N28 I suggest that it came from your frustration with the SPAD! Here's hoping that that one will not cause you problems.

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen. Not bad luck at all. Making Stupid mistakes is different  :-[ I am not giving up on the RFC SPAD, it is just sidelined temporarily while I think about how to fix it! The Nieuport is challenging but I hope to get it to at least the same standard as the one I built several years ago.

The Nieuport will be #1 of Major Huffer. Red, white, and blue bands on the cowling.

Thanks for the comments on the Builds! As for the Cabanes I hope Roden sends them but if not I will figure out the length and scratch Build them. After all it was MY Fault  :'(

I have done a little rigging work. I still need to paint, add some turnbuckles, and tighten up the wires as much as possible. Not the best rigged SPAD ever but it is OK.

Ok, Moving along from My previous post I have painted and tightened the rigging.( I also ended up replacing one of the double wrapped wires). For the record I used HSS for the lines and Evergreen strip for the wrapped lines. After painting and adding Smoke and Mirror Turnbuckles I am feeling much better about the overall look  8) I also started the filling and sanding on the Nieuport 28.
