It will take a bit of tweaking but I think it will be OK.

It is a shame that such nice detail is mostly hidden from view , fantastic work Rick .  8)

This is the second time I have made this post so if Yesterdays Posts come back I will delete this one. I found this photo while searching 43 squadron Sopwith Camel on the net. Does it look like the upper decking has been removed in front of the cockpit near the Machine Guns? Also note the altered shape at the back of the cockpit to the leather padding. As always if this photo violates any ones copyright I will happily remove the photo.

I have made My Decision on the cut away panels and am going with one of the WNW options for the right side. I have also begun to trim away the rear of the cockpit opening to reshape per the original. The engine is a WIP, lots more to do.

PS: One positive result is that more of the interior will be visible  8)

PPS: There is one more piece that fills in a bit on the right hand side, provided by WNW.

I like the mods Rick , been looking over and over the photo's and your other post in regards to the conversion . I think you made the right choice . It does show off the detail better , well done sir !

Thanks Ken. I am still debating on My results. May try experimenting some more on the padding. In the Meantime got this figure in the Mail Today. The replacement for the seated Pilot.

A little seam clean up and then assemble and paint  8)

Enjoying reading through this Rag, gives me inspiration to stick at my Camel build. We had similar disappointment with trying fo include a pilot figure.

Thanks Richie. But onward we Go  8) I have begun to paint the wooden portions of the fuselage. Valejo acrylics with Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, and Burnt Umber oils blended together. Next up a Tamiya clear orange overspray.

Looking great RAG, it's so good to have someone a step ahead with the same kit. I've never built a biplane before so this is really helpful and inspiring.
