WNW Sopwith Camel: 43 Squadron RAF with Copperstate Figure:

So I have decided to come back to an OT build  ;D I am departing from My NORM in using a pilot figure in the cockpit. My intention is to do Henry Wooletts' Camel and paint the Helmet and Gloves in Leopard Skin. Not really a departure but I ask one thing, If you see something you think I can do better within MY SKILL set feel free to say so! Please.

I have made a SMALL beginning in assembling the pilot and giving the fuselage interior a base of Beige/CDL.

    I admire your spunk in tackling a figure, a "black art" that scares the heck out of this model builder! Great topic and a wonderful Kit, it'll be fun to follow along.

Lance, If ever there was a figure for a "First" this one is it. Goggles and scarf cover 90% of the face, the hardest point in any figure  8)

The Copper State Models pilot figures are outstanding and the seated RFC pilot also sits nicely in a Hobbycraft Camel too!

Great to see you back on a WWI model, Rick. I am keen on following your build. I also have the fantastic CSM pilot figure ready for taking a seat in a Sopwith Camel, so I am even more keen on seing your results doint the same.

Funny you should mention the rigging. I actually decided on this one because of your comment in your Pup build reference things that put you off of a Model ending up not being that bad  8)
