Wow my friends, you find always so nice words for my work! Thank you very much, highly appreciated!
Can't wait for the next update.
Today only a small update, also because I forgot to mention steps.
Fuselage paintedAs usual prior to mounting I added some ignition wires to the engine. To a piece of round sheet painted reddish brown (isolation) I added seven copper wires and placed it behind the engine on the axle, the glued/cutted to the plugs (picture of the last update):
The was a small gap between "leather" bulge and the metal, so I added a lacing (Eduard PE, also used on the Sopwith Pup)
I forgot to take a picture of the side view - only that shows, how much the alu has to be widened!
On the back I added brass pipes for the control wires.
The rudders was separated, new hinges added and mounted. After protecting the metal the fuselage was primed with white ALclad.
I used this pictures of a Tabloid in Hendon ...
Quelle:
https://hiveminer.com/Tags/factory,warbird... and a drawing on the backside of the Datafile for painting the struts using a acryl pencil.
Finally it was painted with
Gunze H338 grey (according to the manual). But I think I have used to much paint layers?!?
Should I redo the painting to have better visible struts?
Cheers,
Frank
