I will soon post some new pics of the progress of the fee. This time I will do the whole Wood with decals (I am working on it now) but I think it will be the last time I will do that. Oilsor an very easy acrylic-technique of a fellow modeller is more satisfying and a bit less "cheating".

Now I have started with the Fee.

I decided to take on the following scheme, because it is not so common like the zanzibar scheme:



Als usual I have started with the cockpit.
As all WNW Kit it is highly detailed and there are a lot of parts in the box, that are nearly all needed for the cockpit and the engine.
I also use here a PE set from HGW, but I can say only the seatbelts are required the rest is detailed enough or could be done with homemade details.
The weathering of the wood was done just with burned umbra oils. But i still have to do a lot of work on the weathering, the decals and some custom details.

Awesome start on the Fe2, Manni! The Sheme is my favoured too (I prefer the modified landing gears) and your woodwork is extraordinary fine. Can you tell us more about that? Did you use wood decals or just oils?

Thank You all for theese kind words and your interest.
Borsos asked me to point out some details of my woodwork.
Here I have used the HGW decals on Alclad white primer, but I must say in future projects I will go on with my own technique of simulating wood.
I apply a base of decktan and take some burned sienna or umbra on a cardboard to get rid of the most oil. After that I take a brush and paint it in one direction on the surface, after that I take a toothpick and scratch a grain texture like pattern into the fresh oilpaint (You don't need to do the toothpick step when you would like to create very fine/knotless plywood).
Then I let it dry for 5 minutes. After that I take a nearly dry brush (white spirit) and brush it in one direction over the surface. I repeat this step (but always with cleaned brushes) until I like the grain.
After one day of drying I spray over it with some clear yellow or orange thinned down with some satin varnish as I like to generate different tones.

The now following step I have done also on the decals. I put some burned umbra on a cardboard and apply it on the ready decaled part with a Q-tip on the outer sections of a part and the edges were 2 parts join. Then I take complete dry brushes to rub the paint into the parts center (just 3-5 strokes and then a new clean, dry brush)
When I am happy with the result I make the apperance a bit more even with a Q-tip, that I rub over the nearly dry paint.
If there is too much paint on it, or you want to get rid of some colour at some edges I put some bul-tak or Uhu-Pattafix on a toothpick and rub overtheese points. This works like a rubber and takes the oilpaint away.
