An extremely nice looking E.III Manni, you have done an excellent job, looking forward to seeing the rigging fitted.

I agree with Des, Manni.  I think the rigging is what makes the Eindeckers special. :D

Cheers,

Somehow I posted a response to this thread intended for another. Now that one is deleted. Your EIII is coming along beautifully as is the pilot.

That's a great looking finish you've achieved Manni, the accents and shading are beautifully done and the "swirled" polish effect on the cowlings is excellent. Outstanding work so far and I'll be following your further progress with great interest.
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you  for all theese kind words. This is really pushing me.
I have done some work.
I added all turnbuckles, the undercarriage the MG and rigged the undderside of the Fokker.
The pilot got a new scarf made of magic sculp but still has to be painted new.
A first weathering with oils and AK oil, and grime has been done.
The deflection blade will get some treatement with oil and grime, too and later there will be some more weatering at the tyres with pastels.
The axle of the weels will be drilled out and the weel will be secured with a safety pin.

I hope You like it
Cheers,
Manni

Looking at the pilot's scarf you should make rotating propeller.  ;)

Adam,
there will be a rotating prop by Alliance Model workhttp://www.am-works.com/products/air/aircraft-detailing-accessories/aw035-dynamic-propeller-1-32-fokker-dr-1/
But I won't install it till I completed the plane, because it is extremly fragil.

Very well done. The pilot looks even better than without the sculpted scarf. Are you going to paint the new scarf red as well to create the impression of one large scarf or are you going to paint it in a different color as a second scarf?

Great job of shading and weathering Manni, very convincing and the rigging is very nicely done as well. A very real looking and spectacular Model, excellent work!

Lance

Marvelous weathering, Manni, and your pilot looks fantastic!

Thank you gentlemen of your kind words.

Borsos:
The scarf will be blue I think. First I thought to paint it red like the other one, but then it would be a scarf with three ends.

The shading and weathering will be more increased in some spots (a bit over done) for the reason, that the planes will be attached to a canvas so the beholder won't be able to get so close to the model as if it would when it stands just on a base. I want to attract the viewer's eyes to the planes and the conflict between the dogs and the boars minor to the landscape (sadly this happened in my Gotha dio).

In future I would like to start a model and a diorama that looks complete like an oil paining. But I think I'm still far away of this project with my time and skills.

Cheers,
Manni

Dear, gentlemen.
I have survived my three weeks of family vacation.
Now I can start again with this project and I have managed to finalize the Fokker (only the rotating prop could be changes against one of Propblur)

Now the pilot without the watermellon face.

I hope you like it. Next the Fee will come.
Yours, Manni
