WNW Sopwith Snipe: Early: Albatros DVa Jasta 6
« on: January 24, 2014, 03:35:08 AM »
I have decided on my next build, the WNW Sopwith Snipe in 43 squadron Markings. I may deviate a little from the kit scheme for 8015 in that I will attempt to build it "During" the last weeks of the war.

Hi Rick:

I think this or another DVII will be my next build, so I will be watching to see how  you progress.

Best

Excellent choice, Rick!  This one is very close to the front of the queue for me, as well.  I look forward to seeing you work your magic on this one.
Cheers,
Bud

This is an excellent choice Rick, Wingnuts have produced a brilliant kit in the Snipe, it is so easy to build and the detail is amazing, looking forward to seeing your first steps with this one.

I have the later version of the Snipe Rick so I will avidly follow your build.
With your talents, I will be able to pick up a lot of information to help me
with mine when it comes about.  Thanks Rick...onward and upward!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Hello Rick,

I am as Ernie with the late version of the Snipe, so I will certainly follow this one too ( I follow all your builds, there is so much to learn from you). Looking forward to see your first pictures my friend.

Kind regards
Patrick

I have decided to do a dual build as neither will be ADDING any extraordinary techniques or modifications  to the kits. I will post some pictures tomorrow of my progress on both kits. So far I have sprayed the base CDL color and started the wood grain in oils on both kits.

Here are the promised pictures:
First the Snipe.
I have painted the basic wood grain and next will mask and paint the aluminum on the fuselage and use some washes to enhance the overall look of the wood snd CDL.
