This is shaping up beautifully Paolo. When I finally get round to a 1/32  Dr.I, this build will be one of my first ports of call.

Best wishes

well,
to be honest, I'm not so happy about this factory... somehow it takes out the nicest part of modelling, bringing an hobby toward a work!

but I'm in, and I'll get out. so, let's move on.
engines. I was tempted to substitute the pushrods with guitar strings, but...
9101

9103

archer's decal for the lower fuselage. interesting.
9105

some instruments, to be sprinkled in the cockpits when dry.
9107

and all the props of the world, first layer of acrylic and oil. when dry will come the sandwich effect with other acrylics and oil.
9111

ok, an for today it's all, I suppose..
bye bye, p. ;)

I like the props, Paolo, but the instruments are superb.  Beautiful work.
The stitching on the underside looks good...is that PE?  Looking forward
to more from the Fokker werks. ;) ;D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Your Fokker factory is producing great looking components. As others have said the instruments are amazing. Does the Archer stitching look better than p.e.? Looks good from the photos.

mh. the stitching is rather fragile, as is.
I suppose after a coat of primer will set strongly (at least, so said the instructions) to me the decals are fair better than PE, being quite easy to work with.
just my two cents, obviously! :)

hem... the instruments... those are quite not my worth. the dials are airscale product, simply beautiful, and the gauges aeroclub, idem!

the intentions today where totally different, but I find myself entangled within cockpits and fuselages, so here we are.
9125

I wanted to improve the leather pads around the cockpit, and after some trials with green stuff, I tried fimo. I read somewhere that's unnecessary to cook it, so...
9128

well, here just some pictures of the three cockpits.
9137
9138
9141

phew. I glued also the front plate(s), and sanded, and sanded, and sanded.... until the cowl seat flush with the sides. engine start test, as usual.
9131

next stage, metallic panels (cowls, upper fuselage, inspection panels, etc) then primer and preshading on canvas parts.
cheers, p. ;)

I love the photos you've taken of the fuselage interiors Paolo and the subtle variations between them.

Best wishes
