In the German forum, Frank (You all know him as @Bughunter) commented that he would be very afraid to use plastic at this point.
He would advise me to use metal in this case.
I know Frank's build reports, he is the uncrowned master of soldering and finest metal work on his models.
I told him, soldering is not necessarily my world, I do better with plastic.
Well the truth is, I lack the tools, the skill and probably the patience to achieve such an excellent result as Frank, the boss of miniature soldering.

 ........ well, unfortunately he should be right - one of the hinges broke a few weeks later when I was working a bit carelessly on another part of the model.

Now only the lateral play had to be eliminated, then it would fit perfectly.
Here I helped myself with custom made bushings, which were made from a thin aluminum tube.
These bushings are not glued to the finished model, it is sufficient if they are simply pushed over the brass tube as spacers.

I'll start with the air pump.
This is included in the box, but I'm not sure if it was really necessary.
In principle, the fuel system in the Morane works like a motorcycle.
Fuel-Tank above the carburetor, due to gradient and gravity, petrol runs to the carburetor.
Well, it may be that this caused problems on the plane and it was better to fly with a slight overpressure in the fuel tank.
Regardless, the air pump was completely scratch built.

I needed a brass tube, various plastic rods and some steel wire.
glue and some paint, of course.

Now a brass tube cut to size with a plastic rod as an end cap.







A hole is drilled in the end cap and the steel wire inserted. A thin round plastic rod was glued to the end of the steel wire.

For this purpose, a hole was drilled which corresponded to the diameter of the brass tube.
I cut off two thin slices with a sharp scalpel blade and pushed them onto the brass tube.
