Even though that nothing will be seen . I'm glad that I did add the detail , really enjoyed myself and found it to be relaxing .

Seems have been address which turned out to be quick work . This will get polished out once the the decking is filled . The lacing will get lost in the process but I do have PE to use for replacing that detail .

I filled the front strut mounting locations last night with bits of plastic card . To really pack the hole once the piece is in place I go back over it a few times more with Tamiya extra thin , using the back of the knife handle I press the plastic down until it totally fills it in . Sand this will give a pretty finish then using putty .

Now I can start with more sanding

Your are working fast on this one Terri - I can barely keep up with you. There is no loss of quality of finish though.

Bit more progress done today . The holes are filled on the top decking and sanded smooth . The stitching will be added once the engine and cowl issue is resolved . The engine needs a fair bit of the cylinders removed , but I will thin down the inside on the cowl first . The pencil marks on the fire wall is for the oil tank placement which i still need to cut out of card and sand to shape .This is the only detail I will add to this area , nothing else will be seen . While I was at it I also made up valve stems for the wheels .

Okay , I came up with a very cunning plan on how to make the engine fit inside the cowl . I spent a few hours thinning the inside down to the point that it is almost paper thin ...okay two sheets thin

But what about the engine !!! Out came the saw and i cut off the flange and removed part of the lower cylinder , a fair bit was removed . and glued back on top of the flange and it now fit's inside the cowl . I managed to break off three off the rocker arms so those will face up wards in the cowl . Fuselage is polished and the rest of the details have been started . For the lacing I used taiya cut cut 2mm in with and Eduards PE for the rest and wipe up an oil tank .
