Nice update Marc, I totally agree with avoiding going too dark with the oil stains. Especially after seeing your results.

Good idea to add the Spandau coing jackets last, I thoroughly squidged the jacket on an Eindecker through clumsy handling.

Thank you, Richie, Rick, Alexis and Steve for checking in! The positive vibes are always welcome! Thank you for the comments on the weathering, I go mostly by available photos and they show some, but not much on 425....

And I finally used up all the PE and have my "gun pack" together! For me, a big moment...

Hopefully some more progress soon...
Regards, Marc

Big success Monty, I'm finding that builds have a number of key moments. This is one of yours and you totally bossed it, really pleased for you, it looks terrific.

Thank You all for your comments and vote of confidence so far on this... it is really great encouragement! There are too many comments to reply individually, but they are really appreciated! I find that as I approach the end of the build I get more hesitant - as I don't want to foul it up at the last minute! So when it comes to painting the cockpit surround leather padding (freehand, just like Rick!) I hesitate and agonize... The guns got some paint too, not too unhappy now!

Progress is progress, even if it's slow! Regards, Marc.

The padding looks excellent Marc. I Love the leather color! MG's are also looking sharp!

Hi Monty.
Very nice leather colour. Could You tell me names of the used paints?
