Thanks RAG, getting my second wind now.

Detailed out the floor board, just awaiting the clears and washes. I guessed maybe the planking area at the front was hardwood, so I had fun with some oil paint hand graining…the way to go by the way!

Thanks Ken, but hardly a master, just willing to strip things until I feel right about them. :) (I cant right now, but I will post a pic of the brush I used to get the fine grain)

Speaking of strip, how does this vertical panel (at the top of the pic) look against the floor board, is it too light? It matches the light grain on the small rectangular flat panel on the fb, but wasn't sure if it looks right. On the other hand it is deep in the cockpit and the lightness may help.

I think having different looking wood grains on different panels helps convey that they are different pieces, as long as the wood grain is not completely wrong for the application (if that's possible).
