First examination of the kit revealed some ejector pin marks that will be removed. They are not to deep and removal will be easy.

My usual method is Super Glue to fill the deeper ones, some scraping with a curved blade and final dressing with sand paper in a set of locking tweezers. The latter being one of the most uselful tools on a model desk, you can cut the sand paper to the size you need and get into very tight corners.

I agree about using tweezers to get sand paper into very tight corners - a very useful trick to know.

I have a question for the Albatros experts (or in general German AC production) regarding the finish of aluminum interior parts.
Are these dressed like the Fokker Eindecker cowling?

Thanks for any help, some grainy pics suggests that these parts were simply not an even finish.

I should add that I am referring to natural metal surfaces.

Evening builders,

Ejector pins removed it was on to paint. This comfy library finish was achieved with the products shown over Tamiya primer, a final step was a clear coat consisting of Tamiya clear yellow and orange.

It took some time to get it just right. :)

Very nice wood tones there. Although I haven't experienced it with the Albatross, you may have to clean out the slots for the internal frames as reputedly it is a very tight fit...

Cheers

I agree with Alistair, beautiful wood tones. Having built three of the Albatros kits I will confirm that it is advisable to clean out the slots. The fit tolerances are that tight!
