Slowly , exorbitantly ,expertly ,  the Dolphin proceeds.
Watching.

Thanks Steve  ;D I am now at the point where all 3 of my builds need similar weathering techniques so I can proceed from one to the next with little delay. At least two of them " should" speed up a bit now  :o

Hmmmm...
A little cheating perhaps!? lol
I don't blame you , I have numerous kits parked at the paint shop door. Its a good way to focus but don't use all the same procedures on alla the models!
Best of luck.

Actually I am varying the techniques on the same aircraft for different surfaces  ;D

I have used a Filter/Wash of Oils on the undersurfaces. I will add some Earth Tones on the lower wing after rigging and decaling. I had an OH SH"? moment while applying the sealing coat of future. My water trap was apparently too full and had a spray of future mixed with water come out of the airbrush. ( I was actually spraying the Albatros DV at the time ) with the Dolphin wings drying on the bench. So...I tapped the moisture release and sent water everywhere in puddles all over the Dolphin wings.  I managed not to panic and as hoped the water dried and left no ill effects  8) I read that several Dolphins in 19 Sq. were retired from oil soaked wings so I went fairly heavy near the fuselage with the weathering.

The upper surfaces showing the results of the Oil Dot weathering a little better than last update...I hope!

Shaping up nicely Rick, I really like the underwing staining.

You're really cruising along on this Dolphin.  I like the subtle staining around the engine area.  Should be rigging in no-time.

Thanks Gaz! Still a bit to do once the final clear finishes are applied. That being said I can see having the upper wing mounted on this one and the Albatros DV this week  8)
