You have nailed it, Lance!  This is pure modelling magic!
Cheers,
Bue

As always my Amigo has said it perfectly! James Fahey recently posted some castor oil staining photos of a Camel. Yours is perfect right down to the spatters on the lower wing!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Ed! :)
I've started adding some of the rigging to the lower wing points so the upper wing will be going on shortly, always a "tense" stage of the Build! More to follow soon.
Cheers,
Lance

Finally this Build is starting to move along at a decent pace.I've completed all of the tasks I wanted done prior to mounting the top wing which I hope to tackle tomorrow.
First on the list was to install the cross brace at the front of the small axle wing which I'd prepared for but forgot to add when the landing gear was rigged. The center turnbuckle is from GasPatch Models. The wheels were damaged earlier; they have been removed, drilled and pinned, and will be installed in the final assembly stage.

All of the rigging that could be done on the lower wing and fuselage was completed to ease the process once the upper wing is attached.

The engine cowling retention brackets broken off earlier were "scratched" from lead shrink seal from a bottle of good "Red from Oz" and all four replaced and painted.

I located a PE footstep liner in the spares box, modified it slightly and it was installed and painted as well.

........ and finally the previously badly repaired starboard Vickers Gun received a new muzzle with a 0.7 mm brass barrel to match the port one, now they do match! The barrel was robbed from my un-built Clerget Kit which awaits a replacement from fellow Member and good Buddy Mark Krumrey (MGunns) from his Ship's Camel version which needs one only. Many Thanks "Gunney"! :)

I am looking forward to getting that upper wing done, not far to go to completion from there!
Cheers,
Lance

You are cruising, Lance! Looking forward for the next updates. Great modelling!

(and I see I have forgotten about that brace in front of the axle fairing in my both Camels, may add them tonight, thanks for reminding me :) )

Rick,
Thanks for checking in and for your comments. The next update should be soon as I've just completed the day's real chores and am about to tackle that upper wing. As our compatriots in Blighty say, "In for a penny, in for a pound"! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Great progress Lance.  The Machine Gun barrell looks the business, the foil cowling tabs look the part and the weathering is spot on.  I have noticed in previous builds you use a lot of that "Special" foil.  You must have a ready supply of it handy for such purposes.  ;)  The undercarriage rigging now complete and the start of the wing rigging, you will be on the "home stretch" before you know it.

Thanks for your endorsements Mark and von B. ;D The lead foil is a great little asset to have on hand; pliable, sturdy, and the price is right!
I've got the upper wing on and the main rigging is complete with the exception of the cross bracing of the front cabanes and their dreaded "Acorn" device. I hope to complete that later today and follow up with a few photos.
Cheers,
Lance
