Thanks.

Jeroen, sorry to say this, Snipe with basically the same wings arrangement as Bristol will have the same number of eyelets necessary. And it will be more cramped due to smaller dimensions... If you wish to escape rigging, go for German designs.

One difference. The Snipe doesn't have any Double wires  ;D

You are absolutely right, Rick. My mistake, sorry.

No reason to be sorry! I found the Snipe to be a Joy to build and for a British aircraft the rigging is pretty straight forward, JMHO.

Thanks -I'm not completely shy of rigging (having built a 1/72 Roden Gotha), but not very experienced with it in 1/32... my first 1/32 WNW build will be the Fokker DVII.
As nice and "efficient" looking as the German designs are, I think the British and French aircraft of the period do have more character... :)

Some paint finally on. The CDL underisdes are basically done, now masking and PC10.

The lower centre section had to be assembled with u/c struts before the paint as there were visible joints around the legs on the underside. Some extra masking will be necessary but I prefer this than the ellipse marks around the legs.
Black fittings and metallic hatch covers will come in due course.

Also the interplane struts are completed.

Brilliant work on those struts, Przemo, and I love the shading and painting of the under sides!
Cheers,
Bud

Just caught up again - as usual the standard of your painting is sublime. I like the polish markings too - very different from what we usually see on a Brisfit.

Thank you for your kind comments, gentlemen.

And so it goes on with my Biff. Some steps forward, some steps back.
Forward - some PC10 painting done, no shading yet. Upper wing alerons and elevators

But then, when the fuselage top got its PC10 I was shocked to notice that the seam line still shows. I scratched the paint in the affected zone, scraped a deeper trench along, filled it liberally with CA glue and now I am letting it set well, i.e. I will wait two or three days before sanding. Then I will have to do some polishing to hide the edges (steps) of the scratched hole in the paint. Damn, I detest such mishaps...

But on the positive side again, the propeller got its colours

and is waiting for some wash around the boss plate.

And the result of todays work are the control horns for the elevator. I have just realised, that the lines are both double and equipped with turnbuckles at the elevator horns. It was tricky to insert the Bob's buckles on BOTH sides of the horns. Due to their small thickness I had to trim the eyelets tails to half a milimeter or so to have the loops just popping off the surface. And then I tied 1/48 scale Gaspatch turnbuckles to those eyelets at the elevator horns using loops formed from 0.07mm copper wire. All tested for pull out, lucky me to do this now, as not all the points held firmly, I had to redo two or three out of eight. Now finally the horns are ready for black paint together with the remaining black fittings.
