It has been a long time since the previous update, but the time has come for the next instalment. I have spent many busy evenings with masking, airbrushing, decalling (thanks, Melius Manu, for your lovely decals), shading and finally some assembly! The WNW invented an unusual sequence here, with an intermediate stage of a funny buggy without an engine, with just the centre piece of the lower wing. The assembly here, which I feared a lot, was not difficult at all, WNW did a fine technology job here (again!), all 8 mini-struts fit like a glove and together with 4 rigging cables provide a strong platform for further steps.

The tail control surfaces are just dry fitted to give more taste, I still need to complete the tail rigging before these will get for good.

The wings are also finally ready. Here it took me more time than expected because I managed to spoil two upper wing checkerboards. After some deliberating I masked and airbrushed them. This went quite fine, despite my worries with opacity of acrylic white and red colours - Vallejo are not bad at all.

Also the radiator and the propeller got some wash and are basically ready for assembly (minus the control lever on the side of the radiator, where the cables controlling the shutters will come).
