Brilliant work on those struts, Przemo, and I love the shading and painting of the under sides!

Hi Przemo! This Brisfit is coming along beautifully! I just love your CDL shading - I will definitely try to do something similar! You have done some amazing work on the control wire turnbuckles and attachments too - Well Done! I am really interested in that visible seam line on the fuselage top that needed an (irritating) repair - I had just the same problem on the DVII - I wonder if it isn't the reaction of the liquid glue to the relatively soft plastic?? It seems the sinking happens a while after the glueing!!

Regards,

Marc

Thank you, everybody, for your interest in my build and kind words.

Marc, I have always attributed these reappearing seam lines to shrinkage of the CA glue itself. But then, you maybe quite right, it may also be the plastic collapsing. Anyway, the only remedy I think of, is to leave the CA glue for a couple of days to set well and sand only afterwards. I hope it will work now and I will be glad to report the results.

It has been a long time since the previous update, but the time has come for the next instalment. I have spent many busy evenings with masking, airbrushing, decalling (thanks, Melius Manu, for your lovely decals), shading and finally some assembly! The WNW invented an unusual sequence here, with an intermediate stage of a funny buggy without an engine, with just the centre piece of the lower wing. The assembly here, which I feared a lot, was not difficult at all, WNW did a fine technology job here (again!), all 8 mini-struts fit like a glove and together with 4 rigging cables provide a strong platform for further steps.

The tail control surfaces are just dry fitted to give more taste, I still need to complete the tail rigging before these will get for good.

The wings are also finally ready. Here it took me more time than expected because I managed to spoil two upper wing checkerboards. After some deliberating I masked and airbrushed them. This went quite fine, despite my worries with opacity of acrylic white and red colours - Vallejo are not bad at all.

Also the radiator and the propeller got some wash and are basically ready for assembly (minus the control lever on the side of the radiator, where the cables controlling the shutters will come).

Outstanding job, she is coming along beautifully.  Do not see too many Polish birds, I like it a lot.

Fantastic work. I'm impressed !

The plane nr. 20.1 and 20.2  had a engine RR  Falcon III and 4 bladed propeller.

Greetings.

Wow, very nice! Such clean edges on the upper & lower colors! It is also so good to see that the painted markings came out fine.

Hello Prze,

Beautifully subtle shading. Absolutely spot on. And a very neat job of the colour demarcations too.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you, everybody.

Well, now the build and the updates will be coming faster. I have just completed the rigging of the tail. And the lower wings are put in place. Literally - the fit in the centre piece is so tight that I used no glue.

The radiator is dry-fitted, and there is still some rigging in the engine bearers missing
