Again, many thanks, Lady and Gents, for your interest in my build log and your nice words.
Chris, as for Vallejo colours I do not care about the paint series, I use either Air or Color, depending on the colour fit only. For instance my beige is V.M.Air Marron Verde and dark grey is V.M.Color Verde Refractivo.
Sasho, I added a really tiny drop of silver to each colour. I was guided by the WNW instruction where the dopes differ from paints by 10% of silver paint added. I think the ratio I used was even smaller.
And I have progressed a bit during last days. The decals went on. Here I must regrettably state, I had enormous problems with Pheon Models decals. like I never experienced with them before. They tended not to adhere well, even though I sprayed the areas for their application with a clear gloss coat. The decals also tried to span every single concavity instead of conforming to them. It took me two hard days and several sessions of Microsol, pressing with various tools (rags, sticks, finger tips, etc.) until I finally got them in order, though I am still not fully satisfied. I suppose that the carrier film used by Fantasy Workshop is now much thicker, than it was some time ago.
Then I sealed the decals, applied the Aizu tape strips and shaded the areas along the ribs. Then I added some paint scratches using a silver pen and a needle to turn the roundish spots into ragged ones. These are now sealed and the last steps before the assembly will be: some wash to emphasize the surface details, some dirt around the engine covers and at the bottom and a satin varnish to the linen surfaces.
