Adding the drive belt gives a nice touch. Good idea. Even if only visible partially when cowlings are attached, if gives the idea of completeness.

Prez,
Amazing detail as always, the engine is a classic example of realism. I enjoy following your Builds as they never fail to provide inspiration!

Missed some of this recently - having caught up I now have to go and look for my mind as it has just been blown away………. and my jaw aches from hitting the floor!

Prez -

I cannot add anything new to what others have already said - great engine and cockpit work.

Dear friends, your welcome to my build is very, very kind. Many thanks for all the nice words I read above.

Now I wonder what would you say to my paintwork, especially the choice of colours... Anyway, here it is, just before the application of decals and shading of the upper surfaces (I am still thinking if I should also do some shading along the stringers on the fuselage).

In my colour selection I tried to find matching colours among Pactra and Vallejo acrylics to the FS codes given in the WNW instructions. Thus I got four upper side colours. Each of them was then differentiated in two versions by adding a drop of silver (or not) to get the paint and the dope. The resulting silverish hues may just be visible in the photos.
For the undersides I went for CDL (not light grey) and its darker version obtained by adding some Beige Brown.

Unluckily in the two photos of my model subject the wing checkboards are not visible. Rowan designed them for his decal set with side dimension 4.2cm against 5.0cm diameter French cockades. He suggested overpainting and leaving four tiny segments of the overpaint circle just visible at the sides of the checkboards. The top side cockades must have been covered by dark green paint, just as the rudder which is visible in the photos as uniformly dark around its checkboard. But then I was left with a choice for the underside overpaint. I went for light grey... It maybe full SF but it is going to be accompanied by the same level of SF in the equipment I plan to add to my model - the camera and wireless are already onboard and I will also add the twin-Lewis Tourelle ring, though the two photos show the a/c devoid of this armament...
Now you may crucify me!

I think your color choices are certainly close to perfect! I can see a difference in the lightest green on the fabric and paenel near the nose. Lovely work!
