Lovely work Lance, great looking Pfalz, lets face it, what WWI kite after a few weeks at the front didn't have a few patches.

Cheers

Pete.

Thanks All, yet again, for the encouraging comments!
I've got the decaling completed and the WNW After Market Sheet was up to the WNW normal high standard. The big fuselage one went on beautifully despite my worries that it would prove to be a "bear".

Today I'll try the Alclad II Klear Kote Semi Matte sealer coat on some paint and decal test pieces I made up as I went along, I'll post the results soon per our earlier discussions about the product. If it doesn't set up or I don't like the results I'll go with the standard Model Master Acryl product. In the interim I'm putting a little effort into the control horns and landing gear assemblies. So far no big disappointments with this phase.
Cheers,
Lance

Outstanding work on all the decalling, Lance!  This is shaping up to be another show stopper.
Cheers,

Lance,
You're doing a great job on two fronts. One: A fine model is emerging. Two: You're inspiring me to finish my build  ;)
It's a win win!

Hi Lance,

Super work on the decals. You certainly will not to be modest about this one. You did a superb job up to now. Great modeling my friend!

Kind regards

Excellent work and a beautiful job with the fuselage markings! What is the material you are using to mask the cockpit?

You are making great progress Lance, the lozenge decal looks very good and the fuselage decals are excellent, this is a really nice scheme you have chosen and looks fantastic on the fuselage.

It's a rough cut chunk of foam that's probably done a dozen or more models over the years. I'll need to replace it real soon as it's absorbed a lot of paint.

I'm running out of words to Thank all of you who add such complimentary and kind comments here; a simple "Thanks" to all of you!
I'm very pleased to report that the Alclad II Klear Kote Semi Matte worked very well on the test pieces: nicely dry within an hour, no damage to the Future, enamel paint, nor decals and a nice finish. I did two light coats about 2 hours apart (Instructions say second coat may be applied after 10 minutes) and it's hard as a rock and completely dry 4 hours later......looks like a good choice.
Cheers,
Lance

I'm thinking there had to be a bad batch of the Alclad II Klear kote once upon a time ; I get the exact same results as you Lance, I like the stuff, it sprays super thin and goes on nice and even...
