Super work on this project, my friend! And I certainly appreciate your comments on the interior lozenge from Aviattic. I plan to purchase loz from them for my DVII when I'm at the UK Nats late next week, and I certainly am happy to hear that you had such good results with them!

   Your over spray is perfect; finding the "just right" degree of overspray without losing the under finish is a delicate task, you've really aced it!

A VERY TALENTED WW1 MODELERS Listee, Shane Weir, did this scheme soon after Rodens original release of the DVII. At a contest in Australia he was told that he should have used a different yellow as the yellow artist oils he used were too  translucent!

The paint I can only describe as wonderful, Rick.  I almost had to strain to
see the lozenge underneath, but yep, it's there alright.   I would think
in the flesh it would look even better, if that is possible.  If, whenever I try
a technique such as this I do half as well as you have, I will be ecstatic!

I have built the Spandaus, glued them on and added the crosses. Having sudden unexpected Camera problems so the pics aren't quite what I want: Also Experimenting with Aviattic 5 color Lozenge on an Albie wing while waiting for my DVII Lozenge. I used artists oils burnt sienna along the ribs, rubbed it into the surface then applied the decals. Any suggestions appreciated.

She's looking absolutely gorgeous Rick, the yellow colour is superb and with just a hint of the lozenge showing through is brilliant, this is shaping up to be a real show stopper.

Hi Rick,

Looks really marvellous. I took the liberty (just to help) trying to change a bit your contrast, but as your picture is already jpeg, can't change too much on it. Are you shure you didn't change your settings on your camera? Or have you meanwhile solved your problem? So I can't help.
