So my brother, who recently quietly joined the forum, bought a 3D printer and we've begun collaborating on some home-made WWI projects. He's pretty adept at rendering things on Autodesk Fusion 360. I'm slow to learn. Frustrating stuff. Starting to understand the basics through a few simple designs... bombs! My goal is to complete one of each type of British bomb, first in 1/72, then scale up with greater detail in 1/48 and 1/32nd, etc. So far we've sketched out the 20lb Cooper and Hale; the 65lb, 100lb, and 112lb H.E.R.L.'s; the 230 and 520 pounders; the big 1650lb S.N.; and an 18in aerial torpedo. Here's our work so far:

We've just completed the Cooper bomb (capped and uncapped) and Hale bomb. These things are tiny but the detail is crisp! The image with the mechanical pencil gives a sense of size for 1/72 scale:

More tinkering needed on the rest but we should have these sorted out over the holidays. Then full time on to our first airplane collaboration!
