WNW Roland CII

Nice kit, aren’t they all. I tried to make the scheme a little more interesting by using several colours blended together for the top camouflage and had the strip construction for the fuselage shine through the blue. It is a bit more noticeable in the real than on these pics though. I am always worried to over weather the plane, most look reasonably clean on the photographs. Anyway, I’m reasonably happy with the result, regards, Marc.

Fantastic result Marc, I love the subtle shading. As a chronic over-weatherer I do like the 'less is more' than you've gone with here :) I also especially like the exhaust pipe, how did you paint that?

Cheers!

I like it Marc,

And like you, I prefer a clean model these days, just toned down a bit but not smothered in gunk!

Hi Brad,

Start with a black base, then a thin layer of silver, think I used Tamiya lp11, then various xf browns, very heavy diluted and finish with nato black (very dark grey).

That is a super model: I think that you have the weathering shades just right.
