The base plate for the compass decal, the bezel and the glass pane were punched out of various plastic materials.
OK, the punching in the bezel is not 100% in the middle

The base plate is painted glossy white and the decal is placed in the center.

A tiny drop of vallejo acrylic water texture is used to glue the base plate onto the compass housing.
The glass plate is then glued onto the decal on top, also with "vallejo awt"

The brass bezel is painted with Mr. Metalcolor "Brass".
After drying, glued with vallejo awt.
Vallejo awt has the advantage that it dries completely transparent without leaving any traces.
The disadvantage is that it is basically not a glue at all.
So you have to work very carefully so that the glued parts can not be shifted.

The edge around the bezel was made with bare-metal foil.
The actual compass housing is now finished.

Vallejo Still water, or water texture (awt), is needed to represent water.

In the pictures you can still see the provisional attachment with long and soft copper wire.
The housing is later fixed in the ring with small pins made of hard copper wire.
The housing can be moved laterally in the ring.

The mounting is done quite at the end before the fuel and oil tank are fixed.
Damaging the compass otherwise seemed very high to me. $:-\$

Measure, cut, glue, grind, drill, set rivets, install filler neck, gasoline and oil feed valve. Paint on it - done.

The tank is fixed in the cockpit at the later installation position with Tamiya tape.
After that, the fairing is put on.
The opening of the filler neck can be seen on the fairing.
There, the position on the tank is marked with a drill to be able to install the front wall of the fuel tank at the correct position.
