Thanks!

Stunningly wonderful!

Prze, how do you get such a clean roll on the p/e Spandau jackets?  I still struggle with this.

WD

I basically use drill bits, one after another, with decreasing diameter, rolling them gently over the PE part laid on my fingertips. Final roll is done just between the fingers. It works fine for Part PE, which, as I wrote eariler, are very nice to work with - thin, soft and easy to bend. On the other hand, WNW ones require annealing in flame. And they were also thicker, so then after some curvature is already there, I roll the drill bit over the rigid surface, a metal blade or a base of my PE folding tool.
Hope this helps :)

Amazing modelling Prze, I would struggle (and fail!) to come even close to these results in 1:32 Scale, and here's perfection and an astounding level of detail in 1:72! Beautiful work, just exceptional!
Cheers,
Lance

I have been away Prez and had failed to keep up with this thread. I am struggling to make interiors in 1/32 scal and they are nowhere near as good as yours in God's Own Scale! I am not at all surprised that rigging the control lines in the cockpit caused you stress - they cause me enough when fitting them in 1/32!

Absolutely brilliant work.

Stephen.

Thanks

Mercedes complete, dry fit with the radiator successful so just some dirt and it will be ready for installing. But there is also still some work to be done to the fuselage joint just behind the timing gear transmission, I had to add there a small plastic bit to hide the poor fit of the fire wall. After that I will try to add the air pump, short upper water pipe to the radiator and that small lever at the rear of the engine top.

Nice work!

Mercedes is of course Ed Brassin
Small Stuff could also be an option!

Unfortunately not available in 1/48 :(

Cheers,
Frank

Surely that SmallStuff Mercedes would be great. I might have thought about that earlier but I have already got the Ed one... Not bad, either..  ;)

I have almost forgotten the vent pipes. Added from scratch, together with air pump and the radiator filling pipe. And some wash to spoil a too shiny look. Now it is indeed ready to be mounted.

That engine looks much larger than it really is.
