Thank you.
Wow! that is great progress, Przemo! I do love the PE details around the cowling, and it is great to start on the lozenge! I'm not familiar with the Wood & Wire brand for the lozenge, how does it work and is it available? Regards, Marc
Marc, I bought those decals many moons ago and I do not remember, where. But I did not have ocassion to use them up till now. A quick check in the web indicates that they are seemingly available for ordering at ElefantCorporation. But I am not sure, if this info is up-to-date, actually. One may also try to contact Slava Vanous, who is (was?) a producer.
The decals themselves are very fine. They are semitransparent, so they require gloss white substrate. They slide from the backing paper almost immediately after soaking, their carrier is soft but quite strong. And up till now I do not have any problems with them conforming to the delicate rib structure in this Eduard model. Also they nicely bend over the leading and trailing edges - the glue is very fine holding them on curvatures almost on its own but still allowing some decent time for location adjustment. A few tiny air bubbles are easily removed with some limited application of Micro Sol and delicate piercing. A real pleasure to work with.
