Rick, She looks so good with the top wing on!  Thanks for mentioning the
point about doing the wing rigging first.  It's something I will remember.
Nice progress, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Rick,

I cannot comment on colours (even whether or not pink would be a suitable colour), but I am certainly very pleased with your latest post. I am with Dave concerning the rigging - in my experience of building two gargantuan scale pushers, rigging the wing cellules before adding the booms is a good idea. This is going to be another stunner form your bench I can see.....but please do not drop it!!!

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen. I will do My best to hold on tight  :o  Just for the record of those I started in October 2020 to those I started this year11 have gone in the case ( 2 of those finished last year and 9 put in the case this year) Three went to the floor , and one needs new struts to finish ( The RFC SPAD VII)

Thanks Ernie!  I can't take credit for the idea of rigging the wing cellule firs. It is in the WNW instructions as a suggestion  ;D

Nice to catch up on your build of the DH.2, Rick. And to see you've also added the two Albatros kits makes it quite interesting indeed. Excellent work as always!
Cheers,
Gary

I have begun to lay down some color on the two Albatri. Still some more layers to add and then touch up. Taniya paints were used.

The grey color around the cockpit and on the fin/rudder is what I am going to use as an overall fuselage color:

and the DII:

Your Albies are taking shape nicely - good work on tidying the fit/join on the cockpit topdeck

Regards

Dave
As we say in fencing, what's the point!

Oh, this thread is growing in all directions, progress on the DH.2, progress on the Albatros and another one :o

I really like the wing colors of the early Albatros, well done!

Frank

Thanks Fredrik. The smooth sailing won't come until I have successfully attached the upper wings  ;D

Thanks Dave. I have done a bit better on the DII than the DIII with the tidying  :o Hopefully they will both work out OK.

So a single built of a properly wired aircraft is not enough, so isn't a dual build, but it's a triple build now...! Looks great!

Gorgeous painting on those Albatros' Rick. As Jeroen has written, you do not seem to be happy unless you are building two/three models simultaneously - that would drive me insane!

Hi Rick,
Did you use the lacquer range of Tamiya paints?
Looking crisp!

Thanks Bob. I use the "Standard" Tamiya Paints thinned with X20A or Lacquer Thinner.
