I have decided to do this kit Next. It will be done as the one flown by McCudden while with 29 squadron.

You're not wasting any time, are you Rick  ;)

This is a beautiful aircraft, and I'm sure you'll make a grand model of it.

I'm very excited about this project Rick. I am glad you are building McCudden's mount. When CSM bring their Bristol Scout out next year it would be a much better use of the Lanoe Hawker figure. ;)

Good luck with this build Rick!
I don't know how robust the filigree parts of the D.H.2 are in polystyrene in 1/32, but you should be careful. On my 1/48 build I have replaced the booms with brass to get a robust model.

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Richie. Actuall I sold the Hawker figure to an old Friend that is a World Class Figure painter. My plans for the CSM Bristol Scout are to do one flown by....J.T.B. McCudden while working as a Trainer of New Pilots  8)

Thanks Frank. I can only hope that like all WNW kits the kit parts will suffice! There is virtually No Hope I can replace the booms with tubing  ::)

Yippeeee!!! Rick is building a REAL aeroplane!!!!

I have the front seat in the centre for this Rick, and I promise to only make positive, and hopefully constructive remarks. Only thing is I have only built the 1/72 Revell DH 2 kit of a pusher so I am not sure that I can offer much help. However Epeeman (Dave) has just completed one of these and can offer some useful tips I am sure.

Really looking forward to this and you working your magic on it.

Stephen

I did this Kit a few years back Rick, and I really liked it. The one daunting part of the Build for me was the rigging, it's quite a task and, important, a lot of the photos illustrate the fact that there were numerous different rigging layouts on this little devil. I used the tutorial Bob's Buckles had on his web site, and it was incredibly helpful.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Lance

Ah, wonderful, Rick!!

I'm really keen to see this one come together especially following on from my take on the Roden offering.

Be really interesting to compare the kits.

This will be a fantastic build to follow. I've got the model in my stash, but it's not really at the top. Maybe you'll change that?!

I'm sure you'll do this justice.
BTW, what engine is used in this bird?
