That's great Rick, as I prefer building close to OOB if I can. I appreciate the trail of corn kernels you will leave for us!
Best,
Bob
Thanks Bob!

Thanks for starting this Rick, it'll be essential reading for me in due course.
Now, where are my files/sanding paper... Hope there's no further surgery to do!
Cheers

As long as you are doing French or Italian there should be very little more to do

That being said I decided to do a WAG on B3479, the first SPAD XIII flown operationally by the British. It served about 2 months in 19 squadron, went to an Air Depot, then comes back about 5 or 6 months later with 23 squadron. I will be making Many guesses as to finish and markings.
Which reminds Me of something I meant to mention in the Review:
The British SPAD XIII had lacing added to the Left/ Port fuselage side. It is a bit different looking than the lacing on the SPAD VII but roughly in the same locations. Roden theoretically would have had to do 3 left fuselage halves to get everything right for early, and late versions covering all of the users

Not very practical so details to be added.
A bit of a start on the interior. Basics painted pending washes and touch up.

and I Painted the wings PC10.

Like the SE5a I will add more contrast once I receive the Strippers from Bobs Buckles!

PS: I thought I would show the Wing comparison to the Hobby Craft 13. Note how Heavy the wing ribs look compared to the Roden kit. JMHO.
