Hi
Now it's high time for the next part of my report...
In my last report I showed the painting of the fuselage, so now I will go to the smaller parts.
As a base for the lozenge-decals I chose (Gunze) Hobby Color H58 Interior Green on every part that would be covered with decals.
Next I applied all those decals without any setter or softener, just using a hairdryer. Those decals are so good, it doesn't need more.
After I applied all those decals I used Vallejo Satin Varnish to seal them -- THAT WAS A MISTAKE
Although it looked perfect, the water-based Varnish didn't had enough grip on the shiny decals. It easily could be scratched away...
So I did the exra-round and sprayed a thick layer of and old citadel matt Varnish directly from the can over everything. Then, again, I sprayed Vallejo Satin Varnish over it, and this time it holds perfectly.
Next I painted the leather around the pilots opening with different Vallejo Model (and Model-Air) colors, as usual with the brush.
Since I am a figure-painter since over 20 years, those brush-painting parts are the most fun for me
Soo, now most parts are prepaired and in the next report we can start to assemble them to a plane...
As usual I am looking foreword to all questions, comments or any kind of reply
Have a nice time...
