Thanks Fredrik! It has been a few days now but I might be able to post the photos later. I am actually still deciding if I succeeded or failed at what I was going for  ::)

SO, Just to remind everyone I am doing the Roden DR1 as a Jasta 4 DR1 that was "Handed Down" from Jasta11. It is visible in a distant view in a photo in GvW/Albatros Publications Fokker DR1 Jadgstaffeln book. In the photo there is not a large amount of variation so  My goal is to depict a well worn and somewhat faded/blended streaking. Perhaps even touch up paint was used. The markings would have been recently changed thus a darker area below the crosses. I used Acrylics for the streaking for the first time. I am now Decideing if this is a Pass...or Fail so All Opinions welcomed.

PS: I don't know why but the photo shows the streaking More brown when in reality it is OD Green  ::)

PPS: The tail will be overpainted in light Jasta 4 blue.

I think  your streaking looks great Rick!  I read too that the varnishes used and weathering would give the Green a brownish tint, so to me it looks spot on, I wouldn't change a thing.  I am going to use Tamiya Acrylics on my upcoming DR.I and can only hope it turns out as good as yours.  Very nice Rick!

Looks cracking Rick,

I love seeing everyone’s interpretations of streaking...

My vote is that your streaking gets a pass with "flying colours"! I admire all of you modellers who achieve painting at that standard.

Stephen.

Thanks Mark. Like I said the color is actually more Olive Drab Green than brown but the brown tones would be acceptable  ::) I used Valejo Olive Drab Green and Olive brown, along with a filter(Wash) intended for OD Armor Models.

Thanks Guy! Yep, everyone seems to have their own idea  ;D I am still thinking on this one. Perhaps when the band is added to the fuselage and the crosses are in place I will like it better !

Thanks Marc! As long as you are talking retirement from work I think it is a Fabulous Idea ! I Love being retired!!!

So I did the initial streaking on the Meng kit's center wing and left fuselage. This time I have gone back to oils so I have a couple of days to adapt, change, and refine the streaks  8) Again suggestions are welcome! This one is going to be Kirschsteins Jasta 6 stripey bird so no streaks aft of the cockpit!

Hey Rick ,

On the Roden kit I agree with the others and it gets my vote . You captured that worn faded looking , it's perfeck !

The streaking on the Meng kit looks awesome , I would say you have become a master of this with the amount of Fokkers behind your belt .
