Too much thinking makes my brain hurt Rick! Which is why I too prefer to do the modelling - but then like you I do like to try to get things right.

The cockpit construction looks good - as does the engine.

I was considering the Roden Pfalz in the future.  I'll be interested to see how your work progresses.
There are only two states to be in:  Queensland and blotto.

Glad to see you dealt with the ejection pin marks.  Many don't bother and they end up visible in an otherwise very nice build.

Thanks for the comments Guys and Gal! I am STILL waiting on some PE turnbuckles for the SPADS so I will continue with these two for a while longer.

Rick, you showed often WNW models in your scale in your build threads.
Compared to that the actual kit part looks very, hmm "robust"? Like upscaled 1/48 models ...
So it needs a real modeler to make a nice looking model but I'm sure, you will manage it!

Cheers,
Frank

I assume you are speaking about the Roden Pfalz  ;D Yes it is a bit rough. I intend to do some work on sprucing it up but will not go Full Brad Cancian or Terri by making a new interior framework

As I think a WW1 Ace said, Familiarity Breeds Contempt. I thought that having built two Copper State Nieuports this one would be a breeze. Well I managed to make a Great Kit difficult! I was applying pressure for a reason I do Not Remember and broke several interior parts loose and broke a cabane Strut! So all is back together with the worst being the seat being a bit out of alignment.

I have been there before . I had a few repairs on the Pfalz fuselage because of to much pressure  :o ::)

Repairs look good though Rick , hope the seat doesn't pose to much issues down the road for you . Nice work on the pit by the way  :)

Thanks Terri! The seat will not pose any issues per se, just not quite lined up if viewed closely. As I don't enter contests and no one will be looking that closely it won't be noticed in the end!

Shame Rick,

But just par for the course for me, anyway, great save.

You are making great progress. The way you’re moving these will be done before you get the PE parts for the Spads.

Too much pressure is a common complaint Rick - it even occurs with scratch builds - guess how I know? You have commented that nobody will notice the slight mis-alignment of the seat, so no need to worry too much. (Provided that you do not look too closely too often to remind yourself about the mis-alignment of course!!)

The seat belts look as though they are made from real leather with a suitably worn look too.

Stephen.

Thanks Guys, I have progressed. I have glued the fuselage and upper rear fuselage decking to the forward section. The upper cowl panel is not glued in place: This May be where I leave this one for a while as the Turnbuckles finally arrived for My SPAD builds. August 9th to the 28th in just a regular Mail envelope  :(

PS: I used putty just to make sure my glue joints were good. I ran out of Liquid glue so using Testors right now  8)
