Thank you for the comments, my friends.  I appreciate your encouragement.
I've got the guns mounted and I'm working on the top wing now.
Dust just seems to stick to this like a magnet, even with a thin wash weathering layer (which doesn't show up in the pictures).

Do you have a Tamiya anti-static brush?  Works great when your model gets that magnetic quality and collects dust like mad.  I've had it so bad that I couldn't even wipe the dust with a cloth.

How many beautiful details, hats off before that cowling and landing gear struts.
Really inspiring work.

Another update

Finally got those guns mounted.

Couple of detail shots.  It's got three wings!

The black knight will rise again!  (at least on its landing gear)

Not much left to do.

Crikey Ken, this is already near completion and it's looking utterly brilliant. I am amazed by how quickly you are able to work and maintain such an immaculate standard.

Thanks all!
Richie - It seems like quick building, but its just assembly of major parts that were prepared over a few weeks time.

Thanks, Gaz.

Terri - it really took on the Fokker tripe look with that third wing.

Last update!

The static cling seems to be subsiding for some reason.  I'll do a final cleaning before the formal 'prom night' pictures.

Engine mounted.  As mentioned earlier, its glued directly to the firewall so the cowling will fit properly.

Those turnbuckles were a bugger.

Only a few things left - some handles on the fuse, pilot's step, and the prop.  The cowling's on at this point.  Maybe the cable that holds on the cowling!

Thanks for following along, everyone.

What a masterpiece, not much room to play with on those tail feather turnbuckles but they look perfect. Very much looking forward to the final reveal. :)
