I believe it's time to update this Thread; the major components are now assembled and it's a Biplane! Presently I'm working on the rigging, once that's done the landing gear will be added. I really struggled with the upper wing, the problem being caused by very poorly aligned cabane struts. That factor was completely self induced as I carelessly filled their mounting points with paint and then just as carelessly deformed them cleaning off the unwanted paint. You'd think by now I'd have learned to protect such critical points with Blu Tac or something similar which I do "most times" but forgot in this case!

I've got her mounted in the trusty "Magic Third Hand" for the rigging stage and it's going well. The aileron control cables in the cabane area were done with Modelkasten stretch line, the main rigging is all Maxima Chameleon 0.12mm 2 lb. mono. I'll be doing the tail component control cables with the Modelkasten.

I'm using Bob's Buckles and GasPatch 1:32 Scale metal turnbuckles for the rigging. the latter the "C" Type with my own eyelets added using nichrome wire.

The Schlasta 21 "Zebra Stripes" don't show well through the second finish in these photos but they are still there as you can discern in the shaded side view here.

I'm much looking forward to finishing this one finally, it's been a long haul and it's time for a fresh project!
Cheers,
Lance
