Hallo dear forum mates, I finally succeeded in getting back to the workbench for some hour, I completed the two cockpits and here are some pictures.
I ask the forum mods to move this thread to the "Under construction" section.

Thanks

BLUE MAX kit, For this kit everything was scratch built but the control stick...

here is the port half, I had to cut a bit the horizontal elements otherwise the seat woul have not fitted

Antonio, nice to see this one still progressing. I'll ask Dave to move it to Under Construction on his return from holiday, I don't have that function available.
Cheers,
Lance

Only just found this too Andonio. Good to see that it is back in progress again - let's hope that this time you can finish it!

Stephen.

Thank you Stephen, I have closed both the fuselages, I am working now on the lower wings of the Blue Max.

This is the lower left wing as found in the box

A detail oft the surface:

Here is the lower right wing as I started smoothing it:

Here is the lower surfaces of both the lower wings:

Moreover, here they are compared with the Pfalz D IIIa at war vol.1 schemas (I hope I am not infringing any copyright)

The wings ave a wrong profile at their tips and I am shaping it better, but they also appear to be larger but I won't dare filing that excess...

Thanks for watching.

You are doing an excellent job reshaping and smoothing out the wings. Looking forward to the next update.

The Blumax kit is not an easy one , but you are doing a wonderful job on her . Looking forward on seeing the next stage of your progress . I almost feel like pulling  Pfalz out of the stash  :-X

Thanks Terri!

Here are the lower wings of the Blue Max (DIIIa) slightly improved on the shape:

Here are the finished wings: I smoothed the surface and used some plasticard strips (Thickness 0.25 mm, width 1 mm on bottom surfaces and 0.75 mm on top).
The white details are scratch built by me.

The center section in the BM kit is separated from the wings and I will use pins to get them together, the Eduard kit is better having cast the bottom wings in a unique piece.

Thanks for watching!
Have a relaxing sunday
