Guy dumb question what black did you use on the IP? Rubber, SG Black etc?

Good work as use.

Hi Ryan.. it’s Vallejo NATO black - it’s a black/grey which tends to look better to my eye than a standard black...

Here’s a quick view of the HGW belt versus the kit PE version:

Thanks Guy I wasn’t aware they had that in their range.

The HGW stuff is amazing.

Yep, sure is!

Cockpit wall... I’ve tried to paint everything in situ to prevent paint getting in between the mating surfaces.

Fantastic Guy and a good idea.

I have been added to the GB and need to decide what to build!

Great start! The interior looks really nice and real.
And your speed is impressive, you can register until March, but you don't need to be ready with the first project until that date to register a second one ;D

Cheers,
Frank

Hi Guy
I hope it's not a dumb question. How did you protect the parts in situ when you sprayed the backround with maskol or something similar , or did you just take the parts off and spray over the background colour on the parts?
Cheers

No dumb questions Andrew! It’s really as simple as spraying the parts in situ, then removing the sidewall and then I gave that a slightly highlighted coat to give it some relief. With the gloss (for the pin wash and decalling) and subsequent flat coat - I just put it back in situ. I’ve just found over many kits that having no paint between parts is pretty crucial.

And your speed is impressive, you can register until March, but you don't need to be ready with the first project until that date to register a second one ;D

Yes, I really ought to as this will be finished in a couple of weeks I guess... I haven’t got anything in the stash though  :P my 1/48 Brisfit was started too early.

So update, the cockpit is pretty much finished. Engine next.

Cheers
