Thanks!

Does anyone know the role of the seam on the upper wing? To facilitate the twisting of the wing???

Does anyone know why we don't see it on some photos of G-4 and on the one of Poulet in particular?
Can it be "tightened", "adjusted" to the point of no longer being visible?

The role of that sewing was certainly to provide the sufficient elasticity for wing warping.
As for your photo I think it is present there, I tend to see it at the trailing edge. And besides this, the black code letter seem to obscure it. And imho it might have been tied tighter.

I think there is nothing. Searching my photos again I found this one. No visible lacing underneath but it seems that there is canvas in its place.
So perhaps laced tightly (that's what you see above) and canvassed under the wing.

Regards.

In this photo there is indeed a strip of canvas visible. And as you say, the lacing can be covered.
