Thank you very much, guys, for your encouraging words! They mean a lot for me.
Lance, I used a Tamiya paint for the blue, it’s XF-18 I think (I can only read a half of the „8“ because I once smeared some of the paint over the label when I splashed around with my paints...  :-\

I finished the interior besides some last touch ups with a thin brush here and there. After gluing the rear fuselage together, which consists of six parts that fit like a dream, this rear part is glued onto the back of the interior structure which is quite a unique parts breakdown for a fuselage. But it went together without any problems. Also the forward decking is no problem to try fit in neither had been the fit of the interior structure on the single lower wing part. here I had used a piece of Uschi van der Rostens wood grain decal for the floor. But the fit of the side panels is a little bit tricky and I spent some time to scratch down its thickness and also to reduce the upper main bars of the interior structure. i hope it fits also with glue after spraying the inside of these panels in a light ocre shade for the wood grain. Well, it starts to look like a Nieuport...

Best regards
Andreas

Thanks for the reply on the paint Andreas. It has to be XF-18 Medium Blue, I have some and it looks like a match. Great finish on the cockpit, looking very nice indeed!
Cheers,
Lance

Asalways I am blown away by the quality of the finish and detail that you manage on your models. This is no exception.

Andreas, if you can paint wood, like the seat and the headrest on this picture :o you don't need to work with real wood.
I'm deeply impressed, really!

Cheers,
Frank

The completed interior looks great, and a good reference when building this excellent kit.

Lance, Stephen, Rick, Marc, Frank, xmald, Xan and Giuseppe, thank you very much for your kind words!

I painted the interior of the side panels and the forward fuselage cover. On the edges I had to remove some material to make the panels fit the fuselage frame:

Meanwhile I closed the fuselage. I used Vallejo putty for the first time to close some minor seams and it works really fine with a watered fingertip.

I also glued together some subassemblies. I dryfitted the fuselage and the engine cover. The fit is very good.

Best regards
Andreas

I completely agree with Frank: your wood pinting is so good it really does look like the real thing. This model is coming together very quickly but there is no loss of quality as a resuly. Simply marvellous.
