Thanks Lance, the front frames and engine bearers are actually glued to the left side of the fuselage, after careful dry fitting I found this could be done.
I think I wanted to get the loose assembly off my desk and into the model. Be careful though the rest of the assemblies have to mount per kit instructions.

The belts are quite a challenge and of course I really buggered mine and went with HGW.

Thanks Rick, sometimes the techniques are trial and error (mostly error at times)!  ;D

Small update last evening.

Started detail painting the grey green clips and fixtures inside the fuselage. I've been doing a fair amount of brush painting on this model, and need to get back to masking and spraying.
The bracket above the black instrument was a bit troublesome to hand paint and detail.....would have been far easier to mask and paint at an earlier stage. Speaking of the black instrument I decided to attach now before the decal in case I had to use the face of the part to press into the tight fitting slot. The bolt heads were painted as well as the brass connector at the top of it.

Not a giant leap forward but I got a lot of detail painting and decals applied. Decals are fresh, so will need to clear coat once dry.

A very nice cockpit. Everything is perfectly painted and finished.
