Thanks RAG, very helpful!

Ryan

One other thing that was probably just my build. I found that the dihedral turned to anhidral depending on which wing I inserted first. Test Fit SEVERAL times before gluing!

Yes, good advice.

Since I'm doing just the same model ... plus it's my first WnW and biplane ... I'm greedy looking at your post, I used the same set of HGW but I found that the electrical wiring in PE being flat are ugly but the rest is fine, I thought to use the plates with the information on the engine to give a little 'texture and then glue on the decals of the kit ... hoping that has the desired effect

Yes the PE is flat, but it will be just fine for me...I esp like the distributer bundles.

I might thicken them up with paint, haven't decided yet, thanks for looking and chiming in sir, good luck with your build.

Work continues on the D.V, the following pics are the fitment of the engine bay bulkheads to the fuselage.

And with the engine test fit.

Make no mistake this is a really tight fit is was a lot of work just to get it this far...but eventually it got much better.

Also did a little work on the seat and bulkhead.

Thanks very much Manni, it’s been a chore not to damage it during construction, the Vajello based effect is quite fragile.

Frames and engine bearers look great in place! Your wood tones look outstanding!

As others have commented, the wood tones are truly realistic. A wonderful build going on here - much to learn obviously.

No build update tonight, but I did want to show the Hobby Zone Jig I am assembling. The pics, I hope, give a sense of how large this thing is.

And finally as a further illustration of size, this is the 1/32 Special Hobby Morane!

Like all HZ products it is of particle board construction and very well made, just need wood glue and patience.

Jig? Who needs a jig when there are paint pots, blocks of wood, books etc lying around the place!

Lokks really good to me but I think a litlle too large for True Scale models.

Stephen.
