Thank you, Pepperman!

I have started with cockpit. The great photos taken by Jamo reveal some differences between the replica of LVG and WNW kit proposal from 2009. Three of them for the starters:
1.The magneto is not on the instrument panel but on the side panel - duly cut from the kit part, the scar filled and awaiting cleaning

2.Short formers over the top longeron in the pilot office have to be moved forward

3. And the bulkhead behind the pilot has too low and too wide opening

This final forming and cleaning of this one will have to wait until the glue on the inserts at the bottom sets well.

Stunning engine (as always). I'm jealous but, at least with the cowls on, most of these improvements would be invisible on my model.

I understand from a contact at TVAL that some of the bulkhead details on the LVG that Jamo photographed relate to modern aviation regulation requirements and are not consistent with the original. Discovering which is which is difficult though. But I appreciate seeing your modifications!

Cheers
Alistair

Thanks, Alistair.
As for the engine, I plan to leave the side cowls off to allow for the insight into the engine installation.
And the bulkheads... Thanks for letting me know. Anyway, my model will be a sort of compromise between WNW kit, the LVG replica and, first of all - my limitations in imitating what can be seen in photos.

The work on cockpit continues. The kit bits are basically done. So are HGW seatbelts and some spare straps to make for the hanging for the observer's seat. There are still some bits to be added - control cables, the linkages from the left-side panel levers, fuel lines, the mechanism for camera opening cover, compass, fuel gauge, etc...

And when adding cockpit decals I also put the engine number and producer plate on its left side front.

Great work, Prze! The different wood tones bring a lot of variety into the model.

Wonderful as always. The two tone wood work is great - I wish I'd done that - next time!

Some more work on the cockpit. Several missing bits added:
compass (scratch), fuel valve (scratch), first aid kit (scratch), pulley for camera cover linkage (scratch), aerial reel moved from the rear bulkhead to the side

ignition starter (scratch), carburettor stop linkage ??? (scratch)

Oil pump (scratch), Spandau trigger cable (scratch), another cable on the control stick (scratch) and few bits from HGW PE - fuel tank retaining straps, rudder cable pulleys, control cables...

There are still some fuel and oil pipes which I plan to add.

Wonderful start. I like the engine, it's great but your woodgrain is superb.

Przemo,
You are well ahead of me on this one and that, for me , is a good thing as I follow shamelessly behind you and pick up some great ideas. Superb work so far and I can only hope to produce results half as good as what you have presented here! I just looked over that spectacular Benz IV and realised I'd missed the serial number decal on mine, thanks for that! Don't be nervous as I peer over your shoulder as you progress! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Hello Prez:

Per usual your wood grain and work is outstanding in all regards.  Taking the time to make this a Polish Aircraft will certainly pay dividends and offer a unique but familiar model.  I wonder if there are any Kosicusko (sp) squadron markings for it?  It would make a nice one to the collection.  I am following along as you progress.
Great Stuff
