I might have to do mine all over again to pick up on these brilliant adds. Yeah nah (as we say down here in NZ).

Cheers

Great work correcting all the little bits that WNW missed, congratulations! - But please keep in mind that the control cables to the tail feathers run UNDER the parallelogram shaped pieces present at both sides of the fuselage.

Thank you, everyone. Your fair words are greatly appreciated.

Don't be nervous as I peer over your shoulder as you progress! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Do not worry, I will not be nervous. But please, do not give me nudges... :)

I wonder if there are any Kosicusko (sp) squadron markings for it?  It would make a nice one to the collection.

This a/c did not wear the famous Kościuszko badge, it was long off duty before Americans came and invented the badge. The decals I will use (checkboards and serial with Polish 23.) are custom made. They can be oredered, especailly now when the design is ready, it is just a question of printing. BTW, there is an Ardpol 1/72 LVG C.VI kit with these markings but unfortunately the shape of the serial letters and digits is wrong.

Thanks for the heads up, Beto. I have noticed it and the long cables are already trimmed - I have already assembled the cockpit cellule with the side trusses - photos will follow soon.

Your LVG is greatly finished but you can always do another one - maybe some time in the future.

That's as good as it gets Prze, super clean spectacular work! I'm in awe of your skills, this is inspiring to say the very least, particularly since I'm working on the same subject with slightly less stellar results!
Cheers,
Lance

I really like that, PrzemoL.

The different wood grain also looks very nice.

I think you should take the control cables further back.
The missing cables behind the last bulkhead can still be seen from the outside.

You are absolutely right, Bertl. However, now it is too late and it will be one of my deliberate omissions. I have to confess, that cockpit made me tired. And I also skipped a part of oil installation on the starboard side of pilot cockpit in front of the compass... :-[

The fuselage is closed, the joints filled with liquid CA glue, sanded, polished and as usual some spots require corrections. The second application of the glue is currently setting

Thus I started with another doubtful piece - the radiator under the central section. The shutters at the kit part are quite crude and erronously laid over the entire width, when they should span only two central out of four bays of the radiator. I have bougth the HGW PE set to replace it. I have shaven a lot of plastic and installed the first PE part. Unfortunately, HGW also have the shuters too long (over the entire width) so they will need to be trimmed and the holding rails moved inside.
Additionally, WNW erronously led one of the water pipes, the one which comes from the water pump at the engine rear, to enter the bank on the starboard side of the radiator, while both water pipes should enter the radiator on the port side bank. On the starboard side only a thinner oil (?) pipe enters the radiator. Also the banks on the raditor sides when the said pipes enter are too wide. So, they had to be trimmed, too. I have also blinded the openings for the pipes and will drill new ones. And the wrongly led water pipe will have to be lengthened, reshaped and equipped with a thermometer... Still, some work to do...

Your research skills are as impressive as your building skills. That is a lot of attention to detail for something hiding under the center section. I completely applaud your efforts even if I am unlikely to ever duplicate them.

Thanks sm.

The radiator with shutters is done.

The control rod with its mount will be attached after painting.

Schweet! That is some nice brass work. Ten brass shutters cut squarely and to a pretty fine tolerance in length. You make it look like they were etched that way from the get go. Mighty impressive. I await the arrival of the LVG C.VI kit I ordered a few days ago. Even if I don't start it for some time it will be handy to have to look at when I read your and Lance's posts about building this kit.

Wow PrzemoL, that radiator is a masterpiece all on its own (not to mention the rest of the build).  I am amazed by such fine work (maybe I shouldn't knowing your skills).  Keep up the excellent work.
