« on: May 10, 2018, 11:55:29 AM »
The new Wingnut Wings kit to be announced at the Shizuoka Hobby Show is a Halberstadt CL. II

Here's an exclusive peek:

The Halberstadt is on the Wingnuts stand ready for the show

Hmmm. It doesn't feel like much of a variant from their other kits. I'd like to seem them stray into more unusal planes like the D1! But there are some great schemes for this important plane and it it is very elegant. The rear gun rack is also an interesting aspect plus it could be loaded with a lot of flares, bombs etc. So the details might build into something very compelling. For sure WNW are not resting...

Cheers

while I am sure many will be disappointed as this is not red with three wings, personally I'm thrilled as this subject is a favorite and one I have been crossing my fingers to see them do for years....

It’s not a BE2 but the Halberstadt is a key aircraft of the war, I’m happy and even more so since it isn’t red lol

My face hurts. There’s a smile from one ear to the other that turns me into something silly looking that even the cats laugh at: it couldn’t be any better than the Halberstadt Cl. II. It is my absolute all time favorite. I can’t wait to start building ... I‘ll have at least 5...  :)

Me, I am very glad with this one. Poland had 15 examples post war, there will be a chance to widen my collection of Polish WNW kits  :)

A big smile from ear to ear here too - that's my Xmas present sorted - in May  :) A real welcome new addition to the stable.
Like the Dornier on announcement though, for a model 'in development' that's in a pretty advanced state so maybe we won't have to wait that long.

Makes one wonder what really is 'in development' behind the scenes.

Well done WNW for another terrific surprise

Happy days indeed  :) :) :) :)

I found this profile by Ronny Bar.   Maybe it will be one of the kit.

I bet on a red flamed Halberstadt of Schlasta 26, which is a classic, and on „No 3“, a red-yellow striped one with yellow wings because that doesn‘t need Lozenge wings. „No. 2 — Thea“ would be another classic...

Mine will be assigned to Huffzky and Ehmann, whether the markings are provided in the kit or not.

Once again they insist on taking my money. I might as well as well list them as co-owner as of my checking account.  ;D
