Hi!

The new water pipe is done , I've to add only some minor details
I've also add more spark plugs wires (no painted yet).





I've also put decals on the wings.No problem at all here









In the next post I'll show you some work on the propeller and the tail boom

Okay, seriously. Do you get your linen effect by starting with a PC10 (or darker?) undercoat, next coat is overall CDL, then a final shot of CDL over the ribs? The masking must have been an effort, to say the least. Can't wait to try it out.

Actually I've done it in reverse: light colour, masked the ribs (I used a 0.75 mm tape, so it was a bit long, but not too difficult) and oversprayed with dark colour  ;)

hi!

It's time to think about the rigging...

I've decided to try the rb production photoetched "raf wires".
I've tried on the tail and I think it can work (the size of the rigging I've used is to big for this part, but I've allready ordered a smaller size rigging, this is only glued with a little white glue to test).

A question for the experts: the wires where painted or where in natural metal finish? The fixing brackets where black , right?








In the case that it will not work I'll revert to the classic buckles and wires rigging  ;)

That looks nice Andrew.  I tried the RB RAF rigging and gave up, it was too fiddly for me.  Someone with a lot of patience can do wonders with it as I have seen.  Yours looks real good situated like that, and it is visible.

Looking forward to seeing how you progress on this.

I'm so glad you're doing this, Andrew.  I've got 3 British WNW subjects waiting in the stash and I've been tempted to try the RAF wires, but have been put off by the many nightmare stories surrounding them.  The one you have in place really looks the business and if you can pull this off, I will definitely give them a try.
