Hi guys,
apologies for not posting anything since such a long time... works are going slower and many real life things kept me off the bench.

Lately I was able to sit more frequently and here is the current state of the art:

The bird has now the wings and a tail!!!

A detail of the first double wire going from the fuselage to the lower wing

Here you can see the outboard Vickers, I made from scratch the shield protecting the observer / gunner from the shells of the bullet fired by the Vickers, this is shown in many historical pictures, and the windshield.

Tail with its rigging:

Here I haven't yet put the 4 small struts joining the horizontal planes to the fin (top) and to the fuselage (bottom)
The tail skid is scratch built

A look to the belly of this big bird (new decals since last picture):

New decals on the top wing too:

Here is the twin Lewis on its mount:

Here it is provisionally laid on its place

I am about to complete the tail and the three double wires missing on top of the lower wing, then go ahead with the wing struts, I will hopefully post more sooner than this last update.

Antonio

... oops I made a big mistake!
Looking at the rigging schema I noticed the 2 double wires going from the fuselage to the lower wing cross and don't go to the inner strut that is aligned with them... oh here is the schema it's easier to see it then to rread it! I am talking about the red ant the blue lines:

So I need to make it again

Ouff

No worry, you will get it right!
This is a damn confusing rigging >:(  Oh my G.. what I have done ::) Your build invited me to grab this kit in the net. So one day in the far future I will build this kit too.

You made a good progress!
Cheers,
Frank

Thank you Frank, I have just removed the double wire and had to make a new anchor point because it was encrusted with Cyano glue.

The model looks super Andonio. I do sympathise with that rigging - it looks a total nightmare to me but then I suspect that if it is taken step by step it is not too bad. Even so, I was confused when I first saw the diagram and I am sure that I would have made even more mistakes if I was rigging this one.

Thanks Stephen, the rigging is not complicated, but it will be long indeed...
I have completed the X crossing rigging, put some little additional decals (lever ici... and other small details) and hopefully tonight I will complete the tail.

Some more pictures then

Ciao
