She's really looking good!  I think the matte helps most around the tail.

Really coming along well!

Thanks Gaz. The Flat finish was applied in a thin coat more to give a slight difference between the wood areas and the painted areas. It is subtle but I know there is a difference  8)

It is a Biplane Now! Added the upper wing and radiator. Just some touch up then rigging.

That looks superb Rick. The wood finish on the fuselage looks better every time I see it. This will be a stunner when it is rigged.

Very nice, Rick: well done! More motivation for my glacially moving build!   8)
Cheers!

Rick,
   That looks superb!

You're gonna have to tell me just how you plan to get those 4 leads from the fuselage into the upper wing.  Looks like a difficult operation on my D.V.

Thanks Gaz! About those leads, I am thinking I may end up doing the same as my first DV...snip off the lines and run sprue from the top. The PE panel is not glued on the upper surface so I can bend it up either to run the lines through as planned or run the sprue down if needed  :-X

That is a great idea!  Kinda makes rigging the inside a bit redundant, though.  Still easier than trying to measure the correct depth and hope that all four will stick up in there the way you want.

Catching up yet again. I love the muted colours with the "just enough" flat coat on. She looks great!!!
