That's looking great! I had the idea with the left-over ribtapes, too, but I'd thought about using a riveting tool or saw on the back to give a bit of stitching impression. I still have to try that, though, not sure how practical that would be. Thinking it up is easy, but actually doing it that way does sound like dull work...!

Thanks for the compliments! I actually used a Pounce wheel on my SE5a from Roden to simulate the stitching. It worked well but I found these tapes to be a bit thin/ width wise to try

I will try to find photos of the old SE build to post as an example.

That wood finish looks even more realistic as a background for the other markings. This is going to be one teriffic model when it is finished Rick.
