Rick,
You are certainly doing your "homework" on this Build and it's looking very nice as well. I noticed the photo of the "patch" in the Data File after I finished mine, I'll leave it as is to represent the aircraft before the extra access panel was installed!
Great work so far and looking forward to seeing how you paint/shade that wing.
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Lance. I also saw the photo first in the Data File. When I found the photo on a Fokker EV image site I figured it was worth posting. I figure this will be the only one I build for a while so I am trying to get it correct.

I finally got up the nerve to assemble the jig. This proved to be easier than I had feared  ;D That being said I have run into an issue. As most know I had progressed rather far along in my build when the decals and jig were released. The jig is designed for use without the tail plane attached. Mine is solidly glued into position! The result is that the fuselage doesn't rest as it should into D. As I see things I have two choices.
1. Remove the tail plane and use the jig as designed. This could result in damage to the paint and decals on the tail.
2. Try to adjust the height of jig part D to allow for the tail plane.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Just to be certain all understand this is in no way a problem with the jig!!

Rick, you've got a couple of options, I'd say:

1 Remove the rear cradle support, measure the distance between the tailplane and the base plate and add a new support or

2 Remove the rear cradle and tape the fuselage to the baseplate to hold it in place.

On balance, I'd go with option 1!

Love the colours on the underside - just as I'd expect to see them.

Thanks for the quick response Rowan! If I am reading your suggestion correctly:
I am going to remove support D allowing the fuselage to drop into proper place on C. I will then measure the distance from the fuselage to base and replace D with a new support cut to the proper height?

I have repainted the Wing. I decided to go with the conjectural pattern on Rowans/Pheons decal sheet instructions. I used Tamiya sand and then Polyscale Acrylics for the Green, Violet, Brown, and blue. I am happy with my results.

I have progressed on this one since this morning. I have added the wing crosses, Fuselage serial numbers, and the black stripe behind the cowling. I also realized that after mixing a little AT&SF blue to the polyscale Mauve that I had put it aside and used the straight from the bottle paint on the underside. I went back and streaked some of the more lilac mixture over the Mauve. I also added the inspection panel to the left side of the fuselage.
